Millions of women and girls around the world are prevented from reaching their full potential simply because they menstruate. On May 28th, we unite to change that! 💪 At Us4her Foundation, we've been part of the conversation in schools across Kenya, providing period product packages, menstrual hygiene education, and mentorship. Through this, we have supported over 20,000 girls with sanitary towels in more than 10 counties in Kenya.
This year, our plan is to support 1,000 school girls in Isiolo County with sanitary towels, soap, panties, and body oil.
As Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD) turns 10 this year, marking a decade of campaigning and advocating for a more positive and inclusive approach to menstruation. We're advocating for a world where the taboos and stigma surrounding menstruation are history.
Where everyone has access to quality menstrual products, period education, and period-friendly toilets.
But Menstrual Hygiene Day is more than an awareness day. It's a call to action to create a world where menstruation is no longer a barrier to education, employment, or social participation for women and young girls.
So how can you help? Here's what you could do:
Send us a message on our DM's and join us in celebrating MHD2024.
Donate a pack of sanitary towels, panties, soap, or tissues to support our efforts.
Tag along with us on the day to Isiolo, meet the girls and the community they come from.
Buy any of our merchandise on our website and support a girl's stay in school for one year without fail.
Choose to sponsor any girl from our group through school for as long as you can.
Your help counts! Together, we can create a world where menstruation is no longer a barrier to opportunity and make a difference in the lives of girls and women in Kenya and beyond.🩸#MenstrualHygieneDay2024
