PERIOD PREACHER | THINGS TO DO DURING PERIODS.

Let's talk about menstruation today.

Menstruation:

Menstruation is the process in which a woman's body sheds the lining of the uterus (womb) as part of a monthly cycle. This shedding process results in the release of blood and other materials from the body through the vagina.

The average menstrual cycle lasts between 3 to 7 days, but this can vary from person to person. Menstruation typically begins during puberty and continues until menopause. Hormonal changes in the body, specifically fluctuations in levels of estrogen and progesterone, regulate the menstrual cycle.

Menstruation can be accompanied by symptoms such as cramps, bloating, fatigue, and mood swings. It is a normal and healthy process for women of reproductive age.

During menstruation, some things you can do to take care of yourself include:

  1. Get enough rest and sleep

  2. Exercise or engage in physical activity

  3. Eat a healthy and balanced diet

  4. Use heat therapy, such as a heating pad or hot water bottle, to relieve cramps

  5. Practice stress-relief techniques, such as meditation or yoga

  6. Take over-the-counter pain medication, such as ibuprofen, to relieve cramps and pain

  7. Use sanitary products, such as pads or tampons, to manage menstrual flow

  8. Keep yourself clean by taking regular showers or baths

  9. Wear comfortable clothing

  10. Drink plenty of water and other fluids to stay hydrated.
