PERIOD PREACHER | WOMEN & GIRLS PERIODS MENTORSHIP🩸

Menstruation is a natural process that all women go through, but it can be a confusing and sometimes challenging time for young girls.

As women, we can offer support and guidance to help them feel more comfortable and confident during this important milestone.

1. To start, we can talk openly about menstruation and help girls understand that it's a normal and natural process.

By sharing our own experiences and encouraging them to ask questions, we can help them feel more informed and empowered.

2. Education is also key.

Imagine if we can teach girls about menstrual hygiene, including how to use menstrual products like pads, tampons, or menstrual cups. We can also help them understand what to expect during their period and address any fears or misconceptions they may have because nothing beats education.

3. Emotional support is crucial as well.

Checking in regularly on these young girls and offering comfort and reassurance, and listening to any concerns they may have can help girls feel more at ease during this time. This will give them more esteem to ask questions about their periods and not shy away from learning.

4. Access to menstrual products is important too.

By ensuring that girls have what they need and providing guidance on how to use menstrual products properly, can help them feel more confident and prepared. The menstrual journey s not easy, especially for girls from areas where period poverty and shame are the norms.

Last but not least

Let’s help by creating a safe and supportive environment where girls can talk openly about their menstrual experiences without fear of shame and judgement.

By reducing the stigma around menstruation and promoting open communication, we can help girls feel more comfortable and empowered as they navigate this important part of growing up.
